The third hearing concluded yesterday; I await the attorney’s response, acknowledging the 18-hour time difference between Michigan and Bangladesh.  My disappointment stems from the case’s protracted nature despite the provision of complete evidence, suggesting a swift resolution should have been possible.  I understand that up to seven hearings may be necessary, incurring additional costs of $500 per hearing, plus the attorney’s $300 fee.  These expenses are financially burdensome, especially considering prior scam losses, although I remain confident of a favorable outcome with double restitution.  However, the multiple hearings seem excessive, particularly given the second hearing’s clear demonstration of deception and the suspects’ evident guilt;  expeditious resolution and restitution would have been preferable to mitigate ongoing financial strain.

On May 12, 2025, a court hearing commenced in Bangladesh regarding a fraudulent music promotion scheme. Multiple individuals defrauded me of $6,800 between February and April, utilizing bot-generated streams falsely presented as organic and promising Spotify monetization. The initial hearing was adjourned as the suspects falsely claimed organic promotion; however, evidence contradicts their assertion, resulting in the removal of ten or more songs from my Spotify profile. Furthermore, the suspects falsely claimed affiliation with a prominent public figure, Raju Ahmed, to facilitate the deception. The second hearing is scheduled for May 15, 2025. The involvement of eight additional unapprehended suspects may complicate proceedings. Nevertheless, I am confident that justice will prevail. I express my sincere gratitude to Angelina Maha for facilitating legal representation and providing updates, given my current residence in the US and the events transpiring in Bangladesh.
